Mind Body Spirit Festival @ Earls Court, 2013.

The Mind Body Spirit festival promised to be a great gig. Mostly because the audience is made up of people who believe (rightfully) in love and forgiveness and many things I champion myself. However what they perhaps weren't fully receptive to was some folk rock played by a girl in 90s get up on an electric guitar. Should I have put signs on the door saying "this event will mostly be passionate..if you are very chilled out please do not attend" or something more similar to what they put when they warn you about strobe lighting. Hmm. Not sure.
Thing is despite me looking forward to this gig (yet another unpaid excursion) I couldn't seem to do enough to lift the spirits of those who were there, since they were mostly oaps who seemed just reluctant to move after the last person was on. Were these the only chairs in the place? I think so. They were definitely (albeit very passively) screaming in the backs of their minds "HERE WE ARE NOW ENTERTAIN US!!" I would have faired better taming elephants or something.
The pop-your-hip-dancing-chick actually got them out of their chairs, maybe it was just me.

You know you can't even get paid royalties for events like these? Given the choice again, unless I really want to go to the 'festival' (it's not really, it's an expo with lots of people trying to sell you stuff, why you need to pay entry to go somewhere where lots of people are selling you stuff I do not know, don't they make enough from the stall rents?) I think I'll pass.
Oh and..peace. :P
